Malmö FF tops the table with a maximum of twelve points.
One point behind – although with one match more played – is AIK.
The full score at home against Värnamo in the fifth round means that Solnalaget has its best Allsvenskan start since 2018.
A season which then became extra brilliant considering that the club took its twelfth SM gold.
How the Allsvenskan ends remains to be seen.
But it is clear that AIK will face table-toppers Malmö away on Sunday.
Two goalscoring debutants for AIK
AIK secured the victory with two goals in the first half, and it was two Allsvenskan goalscoring debutants who struck: the Norwegian Eskil Edh and the Dane Benjamin Tiedemann Hansen.
– After the derby win, we were only told that we would lose again. It was nice to gather energy and win 2-0, says Sotirios Papagiannopoulos to Discovery+.
– We were charged, we really wanted to win to get as many points as possible. We scored two fine goals and kept a clean sheet – strong.
Edh, the signing from Lillestrøm before the season, had the ball awarded after goalkeeper Viktor Andersson’s wrong decision at Axel Björnström’s cross in the 19th minute.
Tiedemann Hansen, new from Molde, headed home Bersant Celina’s cross at the end of the half.
