The Swedish star duo in beach volleyball, David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig, continue to make history.
After the victory on the world tour in Tepic, Mexico, on the night of Monday, the duo now takes over first place in the world ranking. It is the first time a Swedish couple tops the list.
The Swedes thus pass the Norwegian pair Anders Mol and Christian Sörumwho won both the Olympics and the WC but did not participate in the world tour competition in Tepic.

Åhman/Hellvig have made Swedish beach volleyball history several times before – among other things they became the first Swedish pair to win the EC – and are one of Sweden’s medal hopes during this summer’s Olympics in Paris.
