Charlotte Baris: Antoine, what is the link between Kate Middleton’s cancer and this 79%?
Antoine Beau: Well, this figure was used in the media to explain that there would be an “epidemic” of cancers among young people. This is taken from a study, published in 2023, in the scientific journal British Medical Journal. And this refers to the increase in the number of cancers among those under 50 over the last 30 years. But I warn you straight away Charlotte, it’s a number to be interpreted with caution, and in reality it doesn’t mean much…
