(Finance) – The Members’ Assembly of IEuropean Institute of Oncology (IEO) approved the budget 2023, which expresses the results of the management of the European Institute of Oncology and the Monzino Cardiology Centre, the two Italian centers of excellence in oncology and cardiology. In 2023 the group recorded revenues equal to 417 million euros with a Net income equal to 4 million euros, intended to be reinvested in research and development. Overall investments amounted to 44 million euros and research costs amounted to approximately 52 million euros.
The partners have renewed the Board of Directors, having reached the end of his three-year mandate. The new Board of Directors confirms the top management: Carlo Cimbri is confirmed President of the European Institute of Oncology. Carlo Buora is confirmed as Vice President of the European Institute of Oncology and President of the Monzino Cardiology Centre. Mauro Melis is confirmed as CEO of the European Institute of Oncology and of the Monzino Cardiology Center.
Confirmed in the role of Advisors of the European Institute of Oncology: Giacomo Campora, Maurizio Carfagna, Maurizio Comoli, Luca Damiani, Marco Di Caro, Guido Galardi, Paolo Grandi, Francesco Milleri, Mario Alberto Pedranzini, Monica Alessandra Possa, Clemente Rebecchini, Giovanni Tronchetti Provera.
They enter to be part of the new Board of Directors: Maurizio Beretta and Pietro Labriola.
Furthermore, the Assembly of Monzino Cardiology Center renewed the Board of Directors of the Monzino Cardiology Center made up of: Carlo Buora, Mauro Melis, Barbara Cossetto, Stefano Leoni, Luca Merlino and Silvia Oldazzi.
