Several people have been found injured outdoors in central Västerås, the police write on their website.
The people must have been injured with some kind of sharp object and have been taken care of by paramedics. The extent of the damage is currently unclear.
– I cannot say how many are injured, or whether they are serious injuries, says Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro, press spokesperson for police region Mitt to TT.
According to Region Västmanland, a younger teenage boy is being treated for minor injuries.
The police have cordoned off an area in central Västerås and are questioning witnesses at the scene and working with trace protection to create a picture of what happened.
Earlier in the day, an alarm came to the police that a teenage boy had been abused with a stick outside a school in Västerås, but the police do not yet know if the events are connected.
