Kevin Costner is currently experiencing an acting renaissance thanks to the hit series Yellowstone and is using this to fulfill his dream film: He directed, produced and starred in the multi-part western epic Horizon: An American Saga. As the German distributor has now announced, the 69-year-old star will sound different than before thanks to a new dubbed voice.
Bernd Vollbrecht instead of Frank Glaubrecht: Yellowstone star Kevin Costner gets a new dubbing voice
Has been for 39 years Frank Glaubrecht in Germany the voice of Kevin Costner: Fandango (1985) was the star’s first film that he dubbed. The Yellowstone series is the latest Costner project in his filmography.
In addition, it synchronized now 81 year old speaker Hollywood greats Al Pacino and Pierce Brosnan. In the upcoming Western saga Horizon, however, the famous speaker will be replaced by another: Bernd Vollbrecht.

Bernd Vollbrecht’s voice will still be familiar to many moviegoers, as he has lent his vocal cords to stars such as Antonio Banderas, Christopher Eccleston and Greg Kinnear in the past. Whether Frank Glaubrecht or Bernd Vollbrecht: the two voice actors will definitely both do it “right”. The German audience just has to get used to it when Kevin Costner in Horizon ventures into undeveloped areas of North America as a settler in the 1860s.

Then comes part 1 on August 22, 2024 and Horizon 2 in German cinemas on November 7, 2024. The potential third and fourth parts that Kevin Costner would like to make have not yet been filmed.
