Mindel wrote a song about that bad experience, how ‘no’ wasn’t enough and what it did to her. “I actually wrote it down really quickly,” she says. The song ended up on the shelf for a while, but after the BOOS broadcast about sexually transgressive behavior on the TV program The Voice, she decided to release the song after all. “You don’t wish this on anyone. It was confronting to make, but that’s why we have to talk about it.”
