The heads of diplomacy of Arab countries are in New York to support Palestine’s candidacy for the United Nations (UN), but they have decided not to wait for the audit on the impartiality of UNRWA to step up and pushed the Security Council to meet on Wednesday. Their objectives: to review the role of the agency, essential in humanitarian aid and education of Palestinians in the occupied territories – but also in Lebanon, Jordan or Egypt –, and to denounce what it is really in Israel’s crosshairs, according to them.
