A man has been stabbed in the chest in Skövde and has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The incident occurred in a residential area and the police were called to the scene.
– We are in the middle of an intensive police hunt for one or more perpetrators, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesperson at the police.
The incident occurred just after 11 o’clock in the morning and the injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
– The perpetrator has left the scene with someone else, so we are looking for several people. It happened outdoors in a residential area and there are a lot of people there, says Thomas Fuxborg.
The man’s injuries are said to be serious and the perpetrator fled the crime scene. The police have cordoned off the crime scene and several witnesses have been questioned. Police have launched an intensive hunt for the perpetrator or perpetrators.
– We have helicopters, scouting units and intervention activities out there participating in the hunt. But we are also on site and interviewing witnesses, says Thomas Fuxborg.
The incident is currently classified as attempted murder.
