It is a problem for many farmers: their manure. For years, the Netherlands had an exceptional position and farmers were allowed to spread more manure than the European maximum. But due to the deteriorated water quality, the Netherlands must adhere to European rules. And so farmers have to have their manure disposed of at an expensive price. They don’t agree with that and so they move to Brussels.
