Prosecutors connect explosions in Fullerö, Stockholm and Linköping

Early in the morning of September 28 last year, a bomb exploded in the Fullerö residential area outside Uppsala. The explosion caused extensive damage to adjacent houses and in one of them 24-year-old Soha Saad was injured so badly that she died.

– I have never heard such a bang before. It sounded like war and I thought the whole country was affected. I went up and saw smoke and glass shards throughout the apartment, her little brother previously told SVT.

Days before the explosion, explosive charges were detonated at apartment buildings in Hässelby and Linköping – which prosecutors now link to the crime in Fullerö.

    – The explosions are suspected to have taken place within the framework of the same conflict between criminal networks and through extensive investigative work it has been shown that the three explosions have a tangible connection, says state prosecutor Helene Gestrin, preliminary investigation leader for the explosion in Linköping, in a press release.

For the three explosions in September, eight people have been served with suspicion of crime, and several of them are suspected of complicity in several of the acts.
