08:11 – Iran, Lebanese Hezbollah or the Houthis of Yemen.. What target for an Israeli response?
Israel’s response already promised by the chief of staff of the IDF army seems to be envisaged by the Israeli government, but the modalities of the latter have not yet been decided. They could, however, respect the injunctions of Iran’s main ally: the United States which, like many other countries, has called for avoiding escalation and has declared that it does not want to extend the war to Iran. In fact, how can we respond without raising fears of the conflict flaring up? Various military strategists are considering the possibility that an attack will be carried out against Iran’s supporters and proxies, rather than against the regime in Tehran. Lebanese Hezbollah, close to Iran but also to Hamas, could be in the sights. Exchanges of fire have taken place several times between Israel and Lebanon since the October 7 attack. Another possible target: Yemen’s Houthi rebels operating in the Red Sea where they have attacked commercial boats operated by Israel.
04/15/24 – 22:09 – Victims of Damascus strike were “terrorists”, says Israel
Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagaria assures that the victims of the strike which targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1 were “terrorists” engaged against Israel. “The people killed in Damascus were members of the Quds Force. These are people engaged in terrorism against the State of Israel,” he said.
04/15/24 – 9:40 p.m. – Iran’s attack on Israel was “a spectacular failure”, according to the White House
Iran’s attack on Israel was “a spectacular and embarrassing failure,” the White House said. “I have seen reports that the Iranians had planned to fail, that this spectacular and embarrassing failure was deliberate,” said a spokesperson for the American executive, John Kirby. “I also saw Iran say that it raised the alarm to help Israel prepare its defenses and limit any potential damage,” he added.
04/15/24 – 8:19 p.m. – Israel promises a “response” to Iran’s attack
The chief of staff of the Israeli army, Herzi Halevi, promised, Monday April 15, a “response” to Iran’s attack on Israel. The Jewish State will “respond to the launch of so many missiles, cruise missiles and drones on the territory of the State of Israel,” he declared. Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said: “We will do whatever is necessary to protect the State of Israel, and we will do so on the occasion and at the time we choose.”
