His artistic universe oscillates between composition and the collapse of stones. The American Bridget Polk, born in 1960 in Whittier, California, calls her art “rock balancing”. Created on the banks of the Hudson River in New York City, his technique seeks the point of balance in a pile of stones and concrete blocks, transforming rocks and ruins into artistic installations and metaphors for threatened civilizations. Until May 12, the “rock star” is displaying his work “Balance” in the “Coming Soon” exhibition at the Lafayette Anticipations contemporary art center in Paris.
