The MMORPG Throne and Liberty is scheduled to appear in the West in 2024 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series is actually confidential. The players still talk about it.
What kind of test is this?
“Real MMORPG” and “Next Gen”
What do the players say? Although everything is top secret, there is a thread on reddit with 142 comments about Throne and Liberty. Some people who have obviously logged into the game for the first time are commenting there.
In the opening post, the MMORPG is seen primarily as a direct competitor to the western MMORPG Ashes of Creation:
Above all, people praise the graphics and animations of the game. Several players say this is finally a “next-gen” MMORPR. The graphics blew them away:
The biggest plus of Throne and Liberty is that it looks amazing and runs really well. For me it is the most beautiful MMO on the market, it is also a real MMORPG with an open, seamless game world with many players, which feels good after many titles that focused on a game with many instances.
Another player thinks it’s great that you can seamlessly teleport back to the village.
What do others say? Not everyone is so enthusiastic.
One of the milder critics is a user who says: The game looks great, but he doesn’t like the controls. It feels like wrestling with a slippery cat.
Others let the veterans hang out and say: The thread creator will take a look around when he notices how boring the game is getting.
Others say: The developers need to cut back on microtransactions.
Probably the harshest criticism is that it’s “Korean garbage” that looks pretty but doesn’t play well and is designed to empty your wallet.
This is what lies behind it: So great enthusiasm doesn’t actually match the reaction that Throne and Liberty is currently experiencing in South Korea. The game is considered problematic. At a developer conference, NCSoft’s bosses were so pressed for the current situation of their company that they even had to announce Guild Wars 3.
But the developers are working on the game.
At least it’s good news that the game looks good and runs well.
Despite all the criticism, Throne and Liberty will almost certainly be the biggest new MMORPG of 2024 and many will give it a try. Simply because it is released for PC, PS5 and XBox Series X/S.
It is to be hoped that Amazon will soon give us the opportunity to see the game for ourselves and perhaps without an NDA.
