“I was at home when I saw smoke developing,” says a neighbor who lives behind the slaughterhouse. “I immediately closed the windows and doors, because my house was completely covered in smoke. I then closed the door behind me. I could no longer see anything because of the smoke.” Since this morning he has been standing on the sidewalk watching the fire brigade extinguishing the fire. “It’s exciting, yes.”
