The guardian angel comes out of the Masked Singer – see the celebrity behind

In the fourth episode of “Masked Singer Sweden”, it is the Guardian Angel who is allowed to leave the competition – and behind the mask hides Therese Alshammar. She agreed to participate in the program with both joy and horror.

– This is my children’s absolute favorite program, we have sat on the bench all season. They think that I would never be asked to participate or that I could participate, so I thought it was very funny to say yes, says Therese to TV4.

– My children say: “God, mother, you sing so badly, you will never join”, she laughs.

Nervous about the mask being removed

She is a little nervous that the children – and the rest of Sweden – will find out that it is she who is behind the mask.

– I have to go home and plan early how I will be able to place a camera, this is what you want to remember. It will be very interesting to see their reactions. The kids are six and ten years old now, a perfect age for this. They are Masked singer fans’ deluxe, says Therese.

– I feel both joy and anxiety that it will come out. When you think that it should be visible to others, it becomes a test of courage. During the recordings, you had help and support from the entire production, but tonight when I’m sitting alone on the sofa, I get to practice the fashion again, she continues.

Therese loves that she got to dress up in the Guardian Angel mask. But when she saw it next to all the other masks, she knew it wouldn’t be the children’s favorite.

– The first thing my son said this morning was “today it’s the pandas”. When I saw the other costumes I immediately thought “damn, I’m not going to be my kids’ favorite costume”. But in my opinion it was magical, it was like armor, which I could need in this situation, she says.

“It’s good to expose yourself to things you don’t know if you can handle”

Therese describes the whole experience as extremely fun and very challenging – but not at all as she imagined.

– I don’t think it’s that much fun to compete anymore, I’ve done that my whole life. But you are so curious about who is behind the mask, that is the greatness of the program. They have really succeeded. It’s very fun that you get to prick up your ears and become a detective, says Therese.

– I have low self-confidence in standing on stage and singing and dancing, the biggest challenge was overcoming that. That’s also why I accepted, because it’s good to expose yourself to things you don’t know if you can handle, which you think are difficult, she continues.
