New criticism of Kinberg Batra – “lavish” dinner with celebrities

It continues to storm around corruption accused Anna Kinberg Batra.

On Wednesday, TV4 Nyheterna was able to report that there is great internal dissatisfaction with the governor at the County Administrative Board.

– It’s on everyone’s lips, many are downright pissed off, partly because our economy is in shambles. And at the same time, Anna Kinberg Batra sprinkles money on friends and severance pay, a source said at the time.

“Wondering when the madness will end”

Since Anna Kinberg Batra took office in March last year, the authority’s representation costs have increased alarmingly. In 2023, more than 1.9 million were spent on internal representation, which was more than double what the counterparts in Västra Götaland and Skåne spent together during the same period.

Now another source within the County Administrative Board chooses to criticize Anna Kinberg Batra, who arranged several large dinners in the Tessinska palatset.

– Right now there is a lot of upset internally with us given all the events. Especially so when the governor also organized a sumptuous county dinner in the Tessinska Palatset on April 10. That in itself is nothing unusual, but in this day and age, many of us are now wondering when the craziness will end, says the source to TV4 Nyheterna.

Furthermore, the source questions the guests invited to the county dinners. Among other things, it has involved celebrities such as Pernilla Wahlgren and Johan Glans.

– We are of course wondering what function the invited guests have and what significance they have had for Stockholm County’s development, says the source to TV4 Nyheterna.

Four-course meal with wine

The dinner that TV4 Nyheternas källa refers to as “sumptuous” is the County Administrative Board’s spring dinner, where about fifty guests from both the political and entertainment world attended this week and were treated to a four-course menu with wine.

TV4 Nyheterna has been in contact with Anna Kinberg Batra’s secretary, who has not yet sent any receipts or invoices, but has come up with her own calculation.

When TV4 Nyheterna combines it with the cost of the wine, the total sum is SEK 57,213, excluding personnel and security costs.

The union: “There is a frustration”

Lisa Palmér, chairman of the ST union’s section at the County Administrative Board in Stockholm, confirms the anger within the County Administrative Board.

Earlier, she told TV4 Nyheterna that there are employees at the agency who are ashamed to work there and that the employees are frustrated, something she repeated on Friday.

She also says that the union and employees question the increased representation costs, despite tough savings demands.

– It is important that we review all costs now. There are also members who feel that we need to be told that everything is happening relatively equally and fairly now at the authority so that savings are not only made in certain areas, says Lisa Palmér, chairman of the Trade Union ST’s section at the County Administrative Board in Stockholm to TV4 Nyheterna .

TV4 Nyheterna has sought Anna Kinberg Batra, who has declined to comment.
