US President Joe Biden fears that Iran will attack Israel “sooner rather than later”.
The statement came at a hearing with journalists on Friday evening. When asked what message Biden wants to send to Iran, he answered briefly: “Don’t do it” and then emphasized that the United States will help defend Israel.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed that Iran will respond to Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus last week.
