It was in December that the school inspectorate carried out an inspection at Ede school in Delsbo and it was in connection with this that several deficiencies were found.
The authority also points to students who are also partially taught by people who are not employed as teachers and are therefore not given the minimum guaranteed teaching time in several subjects.
Another shortcoming is that students with special support do not receive the teaching they need.
High absenteeism
The report shows that there are gaps in the investigations surrounding some students’ high levels of absence from school. The School Inspectorate believes that despite a large number of students having high absenteeism, an investigation has only been carried out in isolated cases.
Take a serious look at the flaws
Overall, the School Inspectorate assesses that the deficiencies in these parts seriously hinder the conditions for the students to reach the goals for the education.
Which, according to the authority, can result in several students who have not been noticed or investigated for special support risking not reaching upper secondary school qualification.
The municipality has until October 11 to carry out the specified measures, otherwise they risk a fine of SEK 1.5 million.
