(Finance) – A Commission is born with the precise aim of preventing accidents at work. The Workplace Safety Commission established by the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio, in agreement with the Minister of Labor and Social Policies, Marina Elvira Calderone, will take office on April 26, 2024.
The study group on workplace safety regulations, will be chaired by the Deputy Minister Justice Francesco Paolo Sisto., supported by some experts in the field of safety at work, operating in the field or in research, and by the President of Inail Fabrizio D’Ascenzo.
The Commission is entrusted with the mandate of analyze the current regulatory framework and jurisprudential, verify its limits, critical issues and prospects, and then formulate proposals for intervention within one year.
The starting point of the Commission’s work is the dramatic frequency of accidents and the awareness that contributing to safety at work contributes, as indicated in the ministerial decree, multiple factors among which “the update continuous, the formation of a widespread awareness of responsibilitythe accurate supervision and surveillance in the workplace, precise rules of conduct and close collaboration between work and research”.
Meanwhile, Minister Calderone, speaking about the amendment to the PNRR on points licenceIt reaffirmed “I believe substantial progress has been made” and then anticipated that for the application of the driving license to “we start from constructionbut the reformulation foresees an opening to other sectors that will have to be evaluated”.
“The construction site remains open because we have a commitment with the social partners to meet periodically”, explained the owner of Labor, specifying that the contribution of the social partners has led to an improvement of the text.
