On April 29, 2023, 20-year-old pregnant Saga was found murdered in her home in Örebro. Now, barely a year later, the trial has begun.
Prosecutors have shown photos of Saga’s apartment when she was found and the cause of death has been determined to be strangulation caused by another person.

Saga’s family, who had been present all day, also heard the mother’s alarm call to SOS when she had just found her daughter lifeless in the apartment.
– It was very painful for my clients, says plaintiff’s counsel Elisabeth Massi Fritz.
The defense lawyer: “My client has not done it”
Soren Abbaszadeh is the defense attorney for the man of the same age who is accused of murdering Saga and their unborn child. He believes that his client did not do what the prosecutor claims.
– He has not deprived the plaintiff of his life, says Soren Abbaszadeh.
