The alarm came to the police early on Friday morning. A man in his 30s was found shot to death at the scene. Just a few hours later, several people were taken in for questioning and five of those arrested were arrested after the questioning.
– Everyone is known by us from before. But I’m not going to say more than that, says Christian Nordin, local police area manager in Helsingborg.
Acted on intelligence
The murder victim was also well known to the police. That so many were arrested on the same day, Christian Nordin explains that they acted on various intelligence quickly after the fatal shooting.
– We have a good situational picture of what is happening in Helsingborg and were able to quickly bring in people who we suspected might have information about the shooting, he says.
Murder and aiding and abetting murder
During the weekend, several house searches were carried out around Helsingborg.
One person is suspected of murder and the other five are suspected of aiding and abetting murder. According to Christian Nordin, detention hearings will be held on Monday afternoon.
