Savo Volley from Kuopio will get a new head coach for next season. The club’s current head coach, Timo Tolvanen, will be absent.
The head coach of the volleyball club Savo Volley will change next season. Piloted the team for the last four seasons Timo Tolvanen will no longer continue as head coach.
Savon Sanomat was the first to report on the matter on their website. 46-year-old Tolvanen is a well-known volleyball personality from Kuopio.
Tolvanen, who played as a libero, played more than 700 major league matches in his own career and won five SM golds. In the Finnish A national team, Tolvanen played 68 matches. Timo Tolvanen has also coached women’s teams in his career, i.e. Puijon Wolley and Pölkky Kuusamo.
Savo Volley starts the bronze match series against VaLePa on Tuesday evening in Kuopio. The second bronze medal match is next Friday in Sastamala.
