The alarm clock goes off – see the celebrity in the mask

In the third episode of “Masked Singer Sweden”, it is the Alarm Clock that is allowed to leave the competition – and behind the mask hides Ewa Roos. She describes the experience as absolutely fantastic.

– As old as I am, that I get to do this after all these years. I released my first record when I was 13 and now you’re 75, says Ewa Roos in an interview.

Someone she is pretty sure she managed to completely fool is the couple’s horse Eva Rydberg, who one night dreamed that Ewa had received a request to join. An ongoing move had to become Ewa’s cover.

– She’s going to hit Eva when she sees this tonight! says Eva.

– Eva called me and said “didn’t Masked Singer call you? I dreamed it”, and I replied that “no, are you crazy, I’m busy with this move”. Then Eva said “well, it was just a dream”, she continues.

Ewa is also excited about the grandchildren’s reactions to the fact that she is the one hiding behind the mask.

– My youngest grandson, who is 16 years old, said to my son that “it’s grandma! It’s her or it’s Markoolio,” laughs Ewa.

She describes Masked Singer as one of the most fun things she’s been part of, but it was also tougher than she thought.

– You shouldn’t have claustrophobia, I’ll talk about that. You don’t see much, notes Ewa.

– I also felt my osteoarthritis in my shoulder. They did some safety thing that would relieve the burden a little bit, and I think the watch was so nice, so I just felt that I have to put up with this, she continues.

“That period was really hard – I was close to dropping out”

And it wasn’t all joy all the time. When she was on her way to the recording of the show, Ewa’s sister’s husband passed away in a hurry, which made her close to dropping out.

– The same day that I sit on the plane to Stockholm, my brother-in-law Pelle passes away. Then it’s hard to accept that you should get up and laugh and have fun. I felt that this was going to be heavy, I’ve known him since I was ten years old, says Ewa.

– It was very hard during that period. I was close to dropping out, to be there to support my sister. But my sister said it’s clear you’re going to do this, Pelle had wanted it, she continues.
