One of the best and most popular adventure films ever – it’s still fun after watching it 100 times

One of the best and most popular adventure films ever

Films like Pirates of the Caribbean are designed to make you sit back, let go and feel good. We can watch them again and again in all situations without getting bored. After yesterday’s TV broadcast, you can now catch up on the film on Disney+ in the stream or simply watch it again.

That’s what Pirates of the Caribbean with Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley is all about

The story of Caribbean aka Pirates of the Caribbean revolves around one enchanted coin that is said to lead to pirate treasure. The cursed pirates around Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) chase after the coin. The mostly drunk and somewhat crazy Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is also interested in her.

Actually the film is based on the über successful ride at the Disney theme parks. Before the film’s release, very few people would have guessed that one day this would become a series spanning five films.

Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow and Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean is always fun – despite and because of Johnny Depp

Movies like Pirates of the Caribbean often feel like like coming home: It’s a good feeling even the hundredth time when everything is right. Which is certainly the case here. Director Gore Verbinski (Lone Ranger) brings together an outstanding cast and mixes a lot of humor, a bit of fantasy and lots of pirate adventures into an irresistible umbrella cocktail full of Caribbean flair.

In particular the exuberant manner of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow puts the icing on the cake with a cherry on top. From today’s perspective, that’s exactly what leaves a bad aftertaste. The now highly controversial actor has recently drawn attention to himself with negative headlines and an extremely unpleasant mud fight in court.
