Great drama on Gotland.
In a video, you can see how Gösta, 74, is hit by a truck at the ferry stop on Fårö.
But the truck noticed nothing – and pushed him roughly 100 meters up the hill.
It was last Wednesday that Gösta Pettersson from Fårö received unwanted help to get off the ferry.
– When I got over the ramp, I noticed that the rear end was sticking out and I thought “what the hell”. And then when we got up a bit, I saw a big fucking cooler on my side, says Gösta Pettersson, 74, to P4 Gotland.
Gösta had been hit and pushed sideways up the hill by a large tanker.
“Then I wouldn’t be sitting here”
He was not injured, “neither mentally nor physically”, but his red Toyota was crushed on the driver’s side.
– I was most afraid of breaking into the refuge. If I had done that, I don’t know how it would have gone. Then I wouldn’t have been sitting here, he says to the radio.
Saw Gösta after 100 meters
After about 100 meters the truck driver saw him and stopped.
– Then he went out and asked “where did you come from?”. Yes, one might wonder, I said.
After the accident, Gösta has heard nothing.
– I took a picture of the driver’s license, and I haven’t heard a word since. I haven’t received anything from the haulier. I think he could call and talk to me, he who owns the haulage company.
The haulage company writes in an email to TV4 Nyheterna that they decline comment because it is an insurance issue.
“Given our driver and the circumstances, we choose to decline further comments”
