The man who went missing after working at a hydroelectric station in Åshammar in Gästrikland has been found dead. This is reported by SVT Nyheter Gävleborg.
During Sunday morning, passers-by found a dead person in a watercourse adjacent to the search area.
– It turned out to be the missing man. We have notified the next of kin and do not think there is any crime behind it, says Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro, press spokesperson at the police.
It was the missing man’s colleagues who raised the alarm at half past eight on Saturday evening that the man was missing. The rescue service searched for the missing person during the evening but ended the operation shortly before midnight.
