Fear in Ede. This Saturday, March 30, “a hostage-taking involving several people is underway in a building in the center of the town of Ede”, in the center of the Netherlands, said the local police, in a press release published on the network social BFMTV.
The Dutch authorities officially do not know the number of hostages held, local media mention four to five people, specifies the French channel. The city center of Ede is currently closed and the houses around the building where the hostage taking took place have been evacuated. The municipality said on its website that riot police and explosives experts were at the scene.

No terrorist motivation claimed
If the bloody attack that occurred a week ago near Moscow, in Russia and left 143 dead, is present in people’s minds, but the Dutch police emphasize that there was, for the moment, no sign of a “terrorist motivation”.
