On April 1, 2017, a black car turns into a parking lot for a fast food restaurant in Boländerna. Two gunmen dressed in white overalls rush out of it and fire several shots at a 43-year-old man who later dies of his injuries.
Several people are arrested in the coming months but there will be no charges.
One of the people who was then arrested for the murder is a now 26-year-old person who is a designated leader in the Death Patrol, a criminal network from northern Stockholm. The person was later released and it would take almost seven years before charges could be brought.

The 26-year-old is suspected of a series of crimes in Spain but was handed over to Sweden at the beginning of 2024 and was again detained on suspicion of the murder in the Bollands.
The other accused person is also suspected of having a leading position in the criminal network and has been in custody since May last year.
– We resumed a very thorough preliminary investigation which previously did not reach all the way to prosecution. The reason why I have now been able to bring charges is mainly that the national forensic centre, NFC, has been able to carry out new investigations of seizures with the help of refined methods. NFC has found DNA traces on the disposable overalls that the perpetrators wore at the time of the murder. NFC’s work has been decisive, says senior prosecutor Charlotta Stege Unger, who is the head of the preliminary investigation, in a press release.
According to the prosecutor, several charges are pending in this case.
