It is through an official press release that Apple announced the upcoming holding of its conference focused on the new features to come for its products.
The next WWDC 2024 will officially be held from June 10 to 14. Each year, these four days of conference allow Apple to unveil new software developments to come for the different operating systems that equip its devices.
If WWDC is generally a fairly anticipated event to discover the new features of iOS, this year is a little special. While more and more players in the sector are entering the market for artificial intelligence integrated into their products (notably Google with its Pixel 8/8 Pro phones and Samsung with its Galaxy S24), Apple is seriously behind in the domain.
The firm is at the center of numerous rumors and discontent from its community, but also from its shareholders. AI is on the rise in the world of tech and it seems inconceivable that Apple does not have a play to bet on it.
However, it seems that the next WWDC will unveil several projects centered around artificial intelligence. The official announcement of the conference is accompanied by a sober message from Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Marketing.
Note the capital letters present on the words “Absolutely” and “Incredible” which then form the diminutive “AI”. A little welcome easter egg which seems to indicate that Apple is planning announcements centered around artificial intelligence.
According to several recent rumors, the firm would join forces with Google to offer Gemini AI within theiPhone. A potentially temporary solution which would allow Apple to position itself in the field of AI while waiting to develop its own solution internally.
