Today there’s another spotlight hour in Pokémon GO, where Hoppsprout awaits you. We have summarized below what bonus there will be and whether the monster is available as a shiny.
What kind of event is this? The so-called spotlight hour takes place in Pokémon GO every Tuesday. This event lasts 60 minutes and focuses on a Pokémon that appears almost exclusively during that time and in significantly higher numbers. Additionally, an additional bonus will be activated for the duration of the Spotlight Hour.
Today you can meet Hoppspross. The Pokémon comes from the 2nd generation of games and is of the plant and flying types. It can evolve into Hubelupf and then Papungha.
Spotlight Hour on March 26th – Start and Bonuses
When does the spotlight hour start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour begins today, March 26, at 6:00 p.m. After exactly 60 minutes, at 7:00 p.m., it ends again.
Which bonuses are active? While the Spotlight Hour is active, you will encounter a large number of Hoppsprouts. If you activate smoke during this time, you can increase the number of hop shoots even further.
If you catch Pokémon during the spotlight hour, you can also look forward to twice the amount of candies. Of the possible bonuses of the spotlight hour, this one is active this time.
Can you catch Shiny Hopsprout? Yes, with a bit of luck you might also come across a shiny copy of Hoppspross during the spotlight hour. But the chance is basically not increased.
Is the spotlight hour worth it? Unfortunately, neither Hopsprout nor its evolutions are strong Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Neither in the battle leagues nor in raids is it worth using Hoppspross or its developments. There are far better Pokémon for this, which are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
Are you looking forward to this spotlight hour? Will you take part in it? Or are you not particularly interested in Hoppsprout or the catch bonus? Feel free to write it to us in the comments.
