This new version is produced by Julien Leclercq, author of numerous muscular successes such as the series Robbers, Sentinel or the film Lucas with Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The Netflix remake of Wages of Fear takes up the plot of the book by the writer Georges Arnaud, at the origin of Clouzot’s film: a shock team has the mission of transporting two trucks filled with explosives into the desert, in a hostile region. Their objective: to explode an oil well which has caught fire and directly threatens the lives of the population of a refugee camp. They only have 20 hours to safely transport 200 kilos of explosives 800 kilometers away.
On the casting side, Yves Montand, Charles Vanel and Peter van Eyck are now giving way to real action movie stars: Franck Gastambide and Alban Lenoir. The first was a hit around the world with his film Medellin, on Amazon. The second is the headliner of all recent action productions, Aka, Antigang And Lost bullet on your mind. They are also supported by Ana Girardot (The flame) and Sofiane Zermani (better known as Fianso).
