Italy announced on Monday that it will introduce an increased police presence during the Easter weekend. The presence will be strengthened at “sensitive” places, such as tourist attractions around the country.
The announcement comes just a day after France decided to raise the terror threat level to the highest level as a result of the terrorist attack in Moscow. The increased level allows for increased patrolling by the military in public places such as airports, train stations and religious sites.

Norway: Armed police during Easter
In neighboring Norway, the police, who otherwise mainly work unarmed, have been allowed to carry weapons during Easter.
Police are urging people to celebrate Easter as usual, although there will be a greater police presence in the community. The police will be armed between March 27 and April 2. The threat level for Norway as a whole is unchanged and there is no concrete threat at the moment.
Serbia: More police in Belgrade
Over the weekend, Belgrade residents could see police officers patrolling the streets with machine guns. According to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, uniformed and plainclothes police officers will monitor sports arenas and shopping centers in the capital, reports AP.
Sweden: No elevated terrorist threat level
At the same time, Säpo tells SVT that they will not raise the terrorist threat level in Sweden as a result of the terrorist attack in Moscow.
Currently, the terror threat level in Sweden is a four (high threat) on a five-point scale.
