Therese Johaug has made a comeback in grand style.
Now the whole of Ski Norway is sending a serious warning to Sweden.
– They should be nervous. This is something completely different, says TV2 expert Petter S Skinstad according to Expressen.
Over the weekend, the entire sport of skiing was shaken up when a certain ski queen returned to the slopes again. Therese Johaug was back for the three-mile at the Norwegian championships and if anyone doubted her form, she silenced them all.
Johaug back
Two years after the Norwegian ended her elite career, she stepped out and completely crushed all other skaters. Johaug won the three-mile by almost three minutes down to second place.

The 35-year-old is now celebrated throughout ski Norway and sends waves to all Swedish competitors.
– They should be nervous. This is something completely different from what they faced in the World Cup this winter, says the TV2 expert Petter S Skinstad according to Expressen and thinks that it should “tremble in the pants” of the Swedes.
– It’s a Norwegian expression for being nervous. And they should be. Now Therese is gold favorite in the five-mile in the WC. It’s the others who have to beat her.
The Swedish answer
The Swedish national team stars, who reaped great success after Johaug’s departure, are well aware of the queen’s superior comeback.
– It’s always difficult to know how you would cope when you weren’t there yourself. But with the form I’ve had for most of this season, I would have probably had a hard time against Therese, says Ebba Andersson to the evening paper.
– I absolutely welcome her back. If she is in this kind of shape – why should she sit on the sidelines and follow the competitions as an expert?

Andersson became a great WC queen last time and won the gold in the three mile. Now a heated duel against Johaug can await in the WC 2025 – and then it is the five mile in Trondheim that counts.
– I think it’s fun that she’s back. It gives our entire sport an extra dimension. It will be exciting to compete against her again, says Ebba in the interview and still singles out Johaug as the gold favorite.
– I think Therese probably deserves the favorite position – even if she has been away for a season.
