The major terrorist attack in Moscow is being investigated, and pending the results, the Russian leadership will not comment on whether IS or someone else was behind it.

This is explained by President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman in the Kremlin headquarters.

Even the signs that the four arrested main suspects were subjected to torture during interrogation are left uncommented, it says, according to spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

– There is only preliminary information, Peskov told the media.

Putin only claimed this weekend that traces of Friday’s bloody attack on a concert venue in Moscow lead to Ukraine. He did not address the fact that the IS terrorist movement had taken responsibility.

Peskov adds that President Putin does not plan to visit the site of the attack.
