“Do you want to have less time to do other things this summer? Do you want an ugly giant plastic tub that obscures the view and takes up space on the lawn? Then this is the opportunity for you.”
Cecilia Larsdotter’s unusually honest pool ad on Facebook went home.
– Several wanted it, says Cecilia in Efter fem.
For ten years, Cecilia Larsdotter in Skivarp has had a pool in the garden, which she has used, among other things, as a water reservoir to be able to water her plants. But for the coming summer, she has had enough.
– I never wanted a pool, but the children thought it was fun. I need the place to be able to grow, so now I gave it away, says Cecilia.
Would have money
Cecilia chose to be unusually honest in her ad text:
“I am giving away this fantastic Intex pool in nice, used condition. A tiny hole in the bottom that has been fixed and is tight, associated filter with hoses (may need updating) and shitty pool ladder. You assemble the aset yourself, empty the gegga from the previous year and remove it from my plot. I never want to see it again”.
Despite the pool’s many flaws and poor condition, several people came forward who offered to collect the pool for payment.
– They offered to collect it if they received a thousand kroner. But I didn’t agree to that, she says and continues:
– I could drive it away myself, but I like recycling, so I thought it could be used if someone could clean it up. Someone did, too.
A sigh of relief
Cecilia not only managed to get rid of the pool, but also a “skitful ladder”, as she describes it in her post on Facebook.
– I just wanted to get rid of it. It’s actually really nice, but I have to be honest and tell you that it’s not in its best condition. But it can become one if you spend a little time on it, she concludes.
