You can say that Easter begins a little tentatively. The days before the Easter weekend will be quite unsettled and dominated by low pressure.
– Already during Maundy Thursday, it looks like the weather is starting to stabilize, says Peter Kondrup.
In the mountains and northern Sweden, the temperature does not rise to any real spring heat. But in southern Sweden it will be a little warmer with temperatures up to 8-9 plus degrees.
Most breaks around Easter Eve
During Easter, the weather stabilizes more and more. On Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, there may be some snow in the north, but by Easter Eve there will be mostly a break across the country. And the chances of sunshine increase ahead of Easter Eve and Easter Day.
– The temperature rises a little, so we can get up to 10 degrees in several places in Götaland and a few plus degrees in the north as well, says Kondrup.
There is the greatest chance of sun and spring heat in the southern parts of the country.
– But you can say that Easter in particular is a period when there can sometimes be major errors in the forecasts, says TV4’s meteorologist and continues:
– We are at the turning point between winter and spring, so the forecasts can be a bit moody.
So the conclusion is: don’t count on any real spring heat this Easter, but be prepared for surprises. So you have to do as it is sung in the children’s song “You can still wear socks and shoes”.
