After “Moscow year zero”, Thierry Robin immerses us today in the China of the Ming dynasty. The little-known story of a bloody siege told in comics. An album which is, something new, an order from the authorities of the province of Guizhou.
thierry robin is a pioneer. Indeed, he is the first Western author to have created a comic book directly for the Chinese market. A commission from the authorities of the province of Guizhou, in the south of the Middle Kingdom, which – through a particularly spectacular staging – recounts the siege of a fortress at the time of the Ming dynasty.
A Chinese fable that recounts the absurdity and violence of war. A historical tale in which we come across – among others – a brave general, a painter king, the servant of a queen, a courageous peasant, but also an all-black crow talking with a mountain.
The comic strip “Pierre rouge, plume noire” by Thierry Robin has just been released in France by Dargaud editions.
Report : The Museum of the Future is presented as the new laboratory in Dubai. It was inaugurated with great fanfare on February 22. Located in the heart of the emirate along the main road that crosses the city, this museum stands out with its futuristic architecture. Its cultural offer also contrasts with that of the so-called classic museums, since there everything is linked to the future and not the past. Nicolas Keraudrenour correspondent in the United Arab Emirates visited it for VMDN.
