Färjestad collapsed: “What’s going on?”

Färjestad had the worst imaginable start in the SC play-offs.
At home against Rögle, they collapsed completely and fell 6-2.
– What happens? I really didn’t think that Färjestad would collapse like this, commented TV4’s expert, Niklas Wikegård in the studio broadcast.

Joel Kellman gave Färjestad the lead in the first period, when he put the puck under Christoffer Rifalk.

– It’s a fairly easy goal to concede, commented TV4’s expert, Sanny Lindström.

But Rögle turned things around in the second period when Dennis Everberg was noted for double goals in the space of about four minutes. It would get worse for the home team when Rodrigo Abols extended in game 4 against 5. Then Tomas Mitell responded by taking a timeout.

But when 40 minutes had been played, Rögle had a 5-1 lead after Linus Sandin scored two goals.

Dennis Everberg went on a match penalty at the beginning of the third period but it would not have any major impact on the outcome of the match. Rögle won 6-2.

– We looked a bit rusty, we need to be better and will be on Saturday, said Tomas Mitell after the match.

Rögle’s Linus Sandin was pleased with the effort.

– We play a good match over 60 minutes, when we get going, we go really hard and it gives results, he said after the match.
