Today we pay tribute to the legendary Kenny Bräck on his 58th birthday.
And he has found love again after the tough divorce.
Kenny Bräck is truly one of Swedish motorsport’s greatest of all time. He got his big break by winning the overall Indycar championship in 1998 and also the prestigious Indy 500 race in 1999.
Bräck’s career
Bräck then became the first Swede of all time to win the Indy 500, a feat which Marcus Ericsson then repeated in 2022. But in 2003, the Swedish motoring legend was involved in a horrific crash that came very close to costing him his life.

But Cenny, as he is actually called by his first name, miraculously managed to fight his way back from fractured vertebrae, femurs and ankles, as well as a blood clot and gall bladder surgery. Just two years later, Bräck made a sensational comeback in the Indy 500 to the acclaim of the entire motoring world.
New love
After the end of his active career, the motor profile has helped young Swedish racing drivers and acted as a mentor, to Ericsson among others. Kenny Bräck has lived in London, England, since 2009 and a few years ago went through a very tough divorce with his wife Anita Bräck.

The breakup led to a financial dispute that went to trial due to 127 million kroner that was to be divided between the ex-spouses, together they have children Karma and Rocco.
– The hard part wasn’t the media, it was going through a divorce with all that that entails. And it doesn’t get better that England has such an outdated legal system when it comes to things like that. If you compare with Sweden, for example, it usually takes six months before things are more or less investigated, my process in England took seven years. And you can understand that it is quite a long time, he told Expressen 2022.

After a divorce, the now 58-year-old motoring legend has found love again. An old crush has flared to life again.
– Yes, it’s actually very nice. I am with an English girl whom I met here in England when I was 19-20 years old. We spent some time together then. But my career took off and so did hers, she was busy with the field competition, says Kenny Bräck in the interview.
– Then it didn’t happen any better than that she also separated three, four years ago. For some reason we connected with each other a few years later, we started dating and we have been a couple for a couple of years now. You never know where life will take you.
