After formalizing its entry into the electric car last September with the creation of a subsidiary, Xiaomi has just announced that it will present a first prototype during the third quarter. According to the Chinese site Auto-Bitit should be a sedan or a SUV electric whose production will be launched in 2024. Xiaomi EV would have in all four models on its roadmap: two electric cars mid-range positioned between 21,000 and 30,000 euros; two high-end models between 30,000 and 45,000 euros.
For the moment, no information on the technical specifications of these electric cars Xiaomi did not filter. Production will take place in a factory near Beijing with the aim of producing 300,000 vehicles per year. In March 2021, Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, announced that the company planned to invest ten billion dollars over ten years in this project.
