Kristoffer Olsson is no longer being cared for on a ventilator

The Swedish national team player Kristoffer Olsson is no longer on a respirator. His club FC Midtjylland announces this in a press release.

“The specialists assess that the rehabilitation period will extend over several months,” the statement reads.

Has not regained the ability to speak

It was at the end of February that Olsson lost consciousness, collapsed in his home and was admitted to Aarhus hospital. There, examinations showed that he had suffered from several small blood clots in the brain.

According to the club’s statement, Olsson has not yet regained the ability to speak or motor functions.

“His condition is continuously evaluated and further examinations and treatment will be required. It is still too early to give a final forecast,” the press release states.

Now he is cared for at Hammel Neurocenter and is surrounded by family and experts.

“Hammel Neurocenter is a recognized treatment center specializing in advanced rehabilitation of neurological diseases, and here the experts will give Kristoffer the targeted treatment and support he needs,” the club writes in the statement.
