On St. Patrick’s Day in the hockey NHL, Finnish successes were seen on a wide front. Sebastian Aho hit the Toronto net twice.
The Finnish-represented Colorado Avalanche claimed a 3-2 overtime victory over the Edmonton Oilers in the night’s NHL round.

Earlier on Saturday Finnish time Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen represented by Buffalo lost to Detroit 1–4. The Finnish keeper recorded 22 saves.
Joonas Korpisalo made a save in Ottawa’s 4-3 overtime win over the New York Islanders. The Finnish goalkeeper made 30 saves.
