The Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection on Steam is currently a big disappointment for many fans. Instead of these games, as a fan of the franchise you should rather play another game, which is currently available for €4.
Why is the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection criticized?
On Steam on March 16, 2024, the game has a catastrophic user rating of only 20% with almost 5,000 reviews. The launch condition in particular is criticized. Most players got the game for multiplayer and the server problems are putting a damper on that.
This is mostly frustrating because there were previous versions of the game on Steam. Many players were hoping for a fun experience after the third part was canceled years ago. If you still really want to play Star Wars, you can play one of the best games in the franchise on Steam for €4.
€4 for a fun adventure in the Star Wars universe
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released in 2019 and was developed by Apex studio Respawn Entertainment. The game is an action-adventure that takes place shortly after episode 3. Cal Kestis is a padawan who has to flee Order 66.
The gameplay is roughly reminiscent of Soulslikes. The focus is on 1 on 1 fights, exploring the world and the likeable characters. A big highlight is Cal Kestis himself. He is played by Shameless actor Cameron Monaghan, who manages to play the young padawan well.
Cal is still inexperienced, but due to the terrible events he has to quickly learn to become a true Jedi.
Exploration is also a lot of fun and is even reminiscent of Metroidvanias in that you always learn new skills, which allows you to explore further areas on the different planets.
For fans of the films, there are places and characters that you recognize. The story is particularly entertaining because it doesn’t tell the classic chosen one story, but rather about characters who want to survive in a world that is becoming increasingly threatening.
How much does Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order currently cost? You can purchase the game for €3.99 on Steam until March 21, 2024. You can currently get the sequel to the game for €31.49. If you buy both in a bundle, both games only cost €31.93.
A third part will continue the story about Cal Kestis in the future. The next Star Wars game comes from Ubisoft and is about a criminal: New Star Wars game wants you to experience the criminal underworld as a villain
