Swenn Larsson edged out to the first split but then made a blunder and lost her entire lead to Mikaela Shiffrin who won her 97th World Cup race and equaled her record.
Shiffrin looked set to lose the win to Norwegian sensation Mina Fürst Holtmann but turned back in the final sector.
– It was a bit of a shame about that miss, she was on her way, says expert Pernilla Wiberg about Swenn Larsson’s second run, which was carried out in overcast conditions after starting in rain and then being followed by sunshine.
Today’s climber was Mina Fürst Holtmann, who was eighth after the first run from starting number 20. The Norwegian finished second and was hugged when the podium was complete.
Swenn Larsson had a little flow and managed the podium with a margin of four hundredths to the fourth Neja Dvornik, Slovenia.
Previously, Mikaela Shiffrin had won the slalom cup, this for the eighth time.
Sara Hector was fifth after the first run but crashed in the second run after a promising start and dropped to twelfth place.
