Microsoft is adding many new features to its Copilot Pro offering, which allows you to use AI in Microsoft 365 and with GPT-4 Turbo. The opportunity for you to take advantage of a free trial offer for one month!
Microsoft continues to deploy Copilot, its revolutionary AI, to the general public. If the latter is accessible for free, it is only possible to benefit from its most advanced functions and better integration into the Microsoft ecosystem thanks to Copilot Pro, a paid monthly subscription. It provides priority access to GPT-4 Turbo and DALL-E 3, which can generate high-quality text and images – they are OpenAI’s most sophisticated large language model and image generator to date . Additionally, it allows using Copilot in Microsoft 365 applications and services (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote), with the aim of helping users generate text in documents, create PowerPoint presentations based on Word documents, or even give a helping hand to use functions like pivot tables in Excel (see our article). It allows you to synchronize your data between your different devices, and to share your content generated with AI with other users. It also gives 100 boosters per day to create AI images with Microsoft Designer, with more detailed image quality and an option for landscape format. To benefit from it, you must pay 22 euros per month per user, in addition to having a subscription to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family.
Copilot Pro has been available to individuals since last January. However, Microsoft is carrying out a major update of its AI, in particular with the addition of numerous functions. The opportunity for the Redmond firm to offer a free month of trial for any new user, as it announced in a blog post. To take advantage of it, simply install the Copilot application on iOS or Copilot on Android. The company has been actively seeking to attract users to its mobile application since its launch at the end of 2023. Not to mention that this is probably a response to the three free months of Gemini Advanced that Google is offering at the moment!
Free Copilot Pro: take advantage of AI to its full potential
In addition to this offer, Microsoft has announced other new features for its artificial intelligence. Therefore, GPT-4 Turbo is now available to subscribers using the free plan, on computer or mobile. Excellent news, but which somewhat diminishes the interest of the paid subscription – unless a superior version of the large language model arrives soon? Especially since the company has unlocked Copilot Pro in Office web apps, eliminating the need to have a separate Microsoft 365 subscription to use the conversational assistant in Word, Outlook and company. This benefit will also be extended to free mobile apps in the coming months, including the Microsoft 365 app and Outlook for iOS and Android.
Microsoft is taking the opportunity to introduce GPT Builder and GPT for Copilot Pro. This is a function that has been present in ChatGPT since last year (see our article), which allows you to create your own Copilot GPT, adapted to a specific subject, thanks to a custom template creation tool. Microsoft is not forgetting professionals and is expanding the availability of Copilot for Microsoft 365 to more businesses. Customers with Microsoft 365 F3 and F1, Office 365 E1, Business Basic and more will be able to purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365 in the coming weeks.
