Brantford Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a male robbery suspect.

Police say the man attempted to rob a convenience store on Brant Avenue near Church Street in Brantford just at about 11:15 pm on Tuesday, March 12.

The suspect demanded cash from the employee but fled on foot without obtaining any money. No physical injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a male with an average build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a light gray winter coat or zippered hooded sweater, black-brimmed hat, blue jeans, black running shoes, brown gloves, and a black and white scarf used to conceal his face.
Officers attended and a K-9 track occurred in an attempt to locate the suspect. The immediate area was closed to traffic for a short time during the investigation, but the suspect remains at large.

Transport truck stolen
Brant OPP are investigating the theft of a transport truck and trailer.
The theft occurred at 7:30 am on Monday, March 11 from a commercial business on Sharpe Road in Brant County.
No further details were available at press time, but anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Suspect arrested
A 37-year-old Norfolk County man has been arrested following a break-and-enter investigation.

The accused has been charged with possession of stolen property by crime over $5,000.
Norfolk OPP were called to a Grigg Drive address in Simcoe on February 25 after someone forcefully entered a storage unit in the overnight hours.
A black 2011 Miska flatbed trailer, a white and orange Bobcat MT85 skid-steer loader and video surveillance equipment were reported stolen.
Police say the trailer and skid-steer have been recovered, but the investigation remains ongoing.
