The war in Ukraine has affected many video game development studios, among them GSC Game World, the creators of the STALKER series who are currently working on its sequel scheduled for late 2022 on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. At the beginning of March, the Ukrainian studio released a shocking video to denounce the war and explain that the production of the game had been put on hold so that everyone could take shelter and be safe. It would seem that GSC Game World has started a physical move to be able to continue working under normal conditions. According to several specialized Czech journalists specializing in video games, such as Pavel Dobrovsky, the studio has moved to Prague, which could have the effect of pushing other Ukrainian studios who would also like to find refuge in the Czech Republic, underlines journalist Jiří Bigas on Twitter. For the moment, GSC Game World has not communicated on this move, nor specified if the development of STALKER 2 had resumed, but we imagine a speech soon if this information were to be verified.

Další vývojáři mi potvrdili, že GSC skutečně mají zájem o Prahu a vedení týmu se už pro českou metropoli mělo rozhodnout. Co je ale zajímavé, stěhování k nám se nakonec může potenciálně týkat i dalších ukrajinských studií, která se o působení v Česku zajímala. ?????
