The size of the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, after Miyazaki’s statements and trailer details, increase expectations and speculations.
Elden Ring’s upcoming DLC Size of Shadow of the Erdtree It seems like it would cause concern. Producer Hidetaka Miyazaki left us in limbo when he said the DLC would be as large in size as the game’s first region, Limgrave. While the trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree showed that it would include a large number of bosses, weapons and features, it caused speculation about the size of the DLC.
Speculations on the Size of Elden Ring DLC
Miyazaki’s statement “as big as Limgrave” shows the true size of the DLC. Based on Miyazaki’s past statements, we think the DLC might actually be bigger than expected. Miyazaki’s statements also raise questions about the size of Limgrave. In particular, it is unclear whether the Weeping Peninsula is also included in Limgrave, or whether subterranean areas such as the Siofra River are taken into account.
FromSoftware has stated that the DLC will include approximately ten bosses, but it is unclear whether this number includes only the Remembrance bosses or all Bosses as well. Even in the Limgrave area, there are approximately 24 bosses in the base game, while some fans may be disappointed that the DLC is limited to only 10 bosses, however, we do not yet have enough information about the content of the DLC.

The company plans to offer a mix of open world and Legacy Dungeon-style levels by adopting new approaches to area design for the Elden Ring DLC.
