At 03.24 on the night of Monday, patrolling police encountered a girl in Mölndal south of Gothenburg. The girl, who was born in 2011, was alone and the police stopped and asked what she was doing out by herself so late.
It turned out that she was on her way with chocolates for her friend who is ill.
– There is a good and loving thought in this, that she was out in the middle of the night to leave chocolates for her friend, says police spokesperson Stefan Gustafsson.
Left in the mailbox
The police decided to drive the girl home – but not the straight way. First they stopped at their friend’s house so she could deliver the chocolates in the letterbox. When the police then dropped her off at home, they did so with the words “we need more people like her in society”.
– Maybe it wasn’t so funny for guardians that she was out alone so late at night. But all in all, it’s nice for the police to experience positive elements during their work at night, says Stefan Gustafsson.
What kind of chocolate was that?
– I actually have no idea about that.
